Passionate about helping young people
I am a registered clinical psychologist with 20 years experience working with children, young people and their parents.
I am passionate about helping people who may be struggling with thoughts and feelings that are getting in the way of how they want to be – whether that’s anxiety, sadness or thoughts of “No one likes me” or “I am a useless parent” – to name just a few.
I am aware of how the demands of school and friendships make being a young person very hard and keeping up as a parent, worker (or both!) is difficult without support. Especially when our brains tell us we are doing a bad job!
To help with these tricky thoughts and feelings, I offer different modes of therapy: individual and group sessions, seminars and supervision from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) perspective. Please see below for more information.
The Adventures of Gorg
A book designed for 7–10 year-olds specifically,
'The Adventures of Gorg', designed to provide a simple explanation of ACT concepts and a common language and techniques that both children and parents can use when our young people are managing anxiety.
The Sh*t Series podcast
And for adults, I have collaborated with two other clinical psychologists on a podcast called "The S*** Series" dealing with the difficult thoughts we have about ourselves in the modern world.
